Lady Coogs upset TCU to win C-USA title!

Go Lady Coogs, great job coming back from that halftime deficit to win the title.

HOUSTON(AP) Chandi Jones scored 26 points and made four free throws in the final 24 seconds to help 17th-ranked Houston win the Conference USA regular-season championship with a 76-71 victory Friday night over No. 13 Texas Christian.
Houston (24-3, 13-1) trailed 50-38 with 17:03 left, but the Lady Cougars ended the game by outscoring TCU 38-21. The Lady Frogs (22-5, 11-3) lost despite 21 points, 19 rebounds and seven blocks by Sandora Irvin.
Houston took its first lead with 9:07 remaining when Nicole Oliver connected on two free throws.
The Cougars led by six points with 35 seconds remaining when TCU's Kim Ortega hit a 3-pointer to cut the lead to 71-68. TCU had a chance to tie, but Adrianne Ross threw up an air ball that Jones rebounded.
Jones hit two free throws on the other end, and after Tiffany Evans missed a 3-point attempt for TCU, Jones hit two more free throws to seal the win.
Sancho Lyttle added 14 points and seven rebounds for Houston, and Oliver scored 14 points. Ortega added 17 points for TCU.
TCU led by as many as 12 points in the first half and had a 43-34 edge at the break.

Server changes

As you may or may not know (okay most of you don't know), CircComics moved to a new server, actually the server that it was on upgraded. The site should be faster and more reliable, at least I hope so. There were issues with uploading from Blogger but I took care of those and everything is okay. There should be a new comic sometime next week so until then enjoy our current new comic or just go through the old ones.

I was walking around campus today listening to St. Anger on my MP3 player and I thought about the old days of Alcoholica. And there's where it hit me. What would the title track to Metallica's newest album, St. Anger sound like if Jaymz had never gone to rehab and had written the song in H-Town at a certain little brewery. Hehehehehe....

That was a damned good game, very close to going into OT, oh well maybe next year for the Panthers. Lots of fun was had by all, thanks to everyone who came to my place, it was great having you there, last year I remember watching the game at the apartment eating pizza with the family, never would have imagined having an actual Super Bowl party a year later.
In other news we have a new comic online, check it out here, it's a good one. Next week we will be working on new comics and making a flyer for distribution so that more people can check out the comic. Anyway I am going to look out my window at the rain, it's very relaxing and I can think about whatever is going on, etc when I do that. Until next time, be good or be good at it.
